Integrated Circuit Design Group
University of Twente — EEMCS
A world-class research team focused on analog and Radio Frequency (RF) integrated
circuit design. With 6 professors and 25 PhD students, the group works on wireless
receivers, transmitters, timing circuits, and data converters — developing disruptive
circuit ideas evaluated in test chips fabricated with industry partners and tested in
their well-equipped RF lab at the University of Twente.
The Robotics and Mechatronics (RaM) group is active on both fundamental and
application-driven topics in the field of robotics. We develop novel fundamental
paradigms and physically based methodologies, which we then translate in the Lab into
demonstrators and prototypes. Area of robot application is mostly in healthcare, and
inspection and maintenance. The research is embedded in the TechMed and DSI
Institutes.
For over 75 years, Universiteitsfonds Twente has supported innovative projects in
research and education at the University of Twente. The foundation funds study trips,
scholarships, excellence awards, scientific research, and cultural events — made
possible through the generous contributions of alumni and stakeholders.
